See who this person is and how they transform forgotten metal into a true wonder – a fusion of art and environmental care.

When forgotten metal becomes a voice of art, it gains a new life and meaning. This is the story of how something old and unnoticed can be transformed into beautiful art, while also protecting nature and reminding us that everything deserves a second chance. 🌍✨

There were times when people wondered—why keep old metal, rusty parts, and forgotten pipes? But then came someone who always looked around and asked himself, “Could this become something more than just trash?” A man full of creativity, who lived with heart and soul in the world of recycling and transformation.

Mike has always been resourceful. Since childhood, he was known for finding clever solutions to the trickiest problems. That very trait led him to a path where the discarded and forgotten are reborn through art, helping the world become cleaner and richer in spirit.

“I love old metal because it already carries a story—a previous life, a glimpse into someone else’s reality. Now, in my hands, it gets a new beginning.”

He usually starts with a vague and unseen outline. Then everything flows with emotion. “I never create a final sketch. I simply listen to the pieces that seem to call out to me. I begin connecting them—like a puzzle—until a living story made of metal appears before me.”

His workshop and nearby garden are filled with curious pieces. Over the years, they’ve come from auto repair shops, machine stores, and people wanting to clear out grandpa’s forgotten garage shelves. “People give me these things themselves. And it’s the best feeling—knowing they trust me with fragments of their past.”

But this kind of work, as you can imagine, isn’t without challenges. Mike doesn’t just go to a store and buy what he needs. He works with what he has. And when the perfect piece isn’t there—he invents, imagines, and creates. This isn’t typical art; it’s a real test. But that very limitation is what gives him true freedom.

His art isn’t just about beauty. It’s a quiet but clear message. “My sculptures are a call to all of us. We throw things away so quickly, without thinking of the consequences. But every object deserves a second chance—if only we take the time and care to listen.”

Some of his favorite works are musical instruments. “I’ll never forget the trombone and saxophone I made. People were amazed and always asked—‘Do they actually play?’ That was the biggest compliment—because it meant the metal looked so real, so precise, it reminded them of actual music.”

When asked if there are pieces that were hard to let go of, Mike smiles softly. “In the beginning, it was tough. Each sculpture was a dream made of metal, born from a sudden spark of inspiration. But as I moved to commissioned work, things changed. These pieces already belong to someone before I begin. I see myself as a bridge—between the art and its new home.”

Dogs hold a special place in his work. When he first exhibited in Portland—a city where dogs are truly part of the family—his dog sculptures became instant favorites. That’s how it began. Each one custom-made, each one representing someone’s beloved pet. “Labradors are the most popular, but I love making all breeds. Each carries love, breath, and a sense of home.” 🐾

When we ask about the environmental impact of his work, Mike pauses. “Over 20 years, I’ve probably saved around 20 to 30 tons of metal from ending up in landfills. That metal, if dumped, would leak toxins into the soil and water. But now—it becomes something that brings people joy.” 😊

Right now, he’s just finished a 7.5-foot-tall guitar sculpture for the Hard Rock Hotel in Dublin. Next up—a running dog sculpture for a park in Dallas, and a massive wine bottle destined for a vineyard in Napa Valley. 🎸🍷

And we can’t help but be amazed—how can a rusty screw become a whole story? And then it clicks—when someone creates with heart, even the simplest material can be transformed into living art, filled with spirit and life. ✨
